Vladimir Vassěljev ha ricevuto il Premio «Liberty-2010» 
A New-York all’eccezionale ballerino e coreografo Vladimir Vassěljev č stato consegnato il Premio «Liberty-2010» conferitogli per un valido contributo allo sviluppo delle relazioni culturali tra la Russia e gli USA. 
La cerimonia si č svolta nella sede del Centro delle Arti che porta l nome di Mikhail Baryshnikov. Nella decisione della Giuria si dŕ atto che Vassěljev – uno dei piů grandi ballerini – incarna per gli americani gli eccezionali successi e le migliori caratteristiche del balletto russo.

Russian choreographer wins Liberty Award 
The celebrated Russian dancer and choreographer Vladimir Vasiliev will be awarded the American Liberty Award at a ceremony in the New York-based Baryshnikov Art Center on March 29th. Established in 1999, the Liberty Award is given for achievements in Russian-American cultural ties. Members of the jury have picked Vasiliev for incorporating the best features of Russian ballet. Among the Liberty Award laureates are writers Vasily Aksenov and Vladimir Sorokin, poet Dmitry Prigov, musician Vladimir Spivakov, the Director of the Pushkin Fine Arts museum Irina Antonova, the Director of Guggenheim Museum Thomas Krentz, the Director of US Congress Library James Billington and «New Yorker» Chief Editor David Remnik.
